A former lawmaker in Ogun State, Oladipupo Adebutu, the Poultry Association of Nigeria in the state, a water producing company, Macfeley Enterprises; and a former chairman of the Ijebu North Local Government Area, Tele Ogunjobi, have donated relief materials to residents of Ogun State to support the fight against COVID-19.
Adebutu on Thursday donated food items, including cows, pigs and garri said to worth N50m.
Also, POGAN donated about 1,600 creates of eggs to the government.
Similarly, Ogunjobi distributed stimulus packages to 3,475 widows and the aged in the state.
A water producing company, Macfeley Enterprises, also donated 9,000 table water to the state government.
The General Manager of the company, Temitope Ogunjobi, said the gesture was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility to the state.
Adebutu said the relief materials would be distributed across the 236 wards in the 20 LGAs in the state.
The PANOG state chairman, Blessing Alawode, said the association would donate more eggs to government in the coming weeks.
Speaking on behalf of Ogunjobi, the Chairman of the Ago Iwoye Central Development Council, Mr Anthony Daniel, said the donations were targeted at the old people from age 60 and widows.
