A former Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babatunde Fashola, will, on July 16, chair the presentation of a book titled, ‘Frontier capital markets and investments banking, principles and practice from Nigeria’.
The authors of the book, Temitope Oshikoya and Kehinde Durosinmi-Etti, in a statement, said the book discussed in details the role of capital market and investment banking in Nigeria.
The statement said the book would enable the reader to gain useful insight into how capital market and investment banking worked in the real world of a frontier market.
According to the statement, the book provided a synopsis of economic attractiveness, financial system intermediation and capital markets as well as the regulatory framework within a frontier market.
It said the book analysed asset management, pension industry and securities trading in a frontier market.
It added that the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Vetiva Capital, Mr Chuka Eseka; Managing Partner, Olaniwun Ajayi Legal Practitioners, Professor Konyin Ajayi; and Professor Ndubusi Nwokoma of the Department of Economics, University of Lagos, would review the book.
